Safe Sisters: Street Safe #MFRWhooks

Coming Soon

Safe Sisters

Two sisters, one treasure, and a killer determined to have it all.

Street Safe

Street Callan wants only one thing from the sultry voluptuous woman in red heels, a night of steamy, unadulterated sex.

Na’arah Simmons has no problem submitting to Street’s seductive allure, since she shares in the attraction.

When their one night stand leaves her with an unplanned souvenir, his less than desired response will force her to move on.

However, when she’s the only witness to a brutal murder, Na’arah has only Street to turn to if she wants to save herself and her unborn child.

Street rounded the corner and paused. His heart pounded a little harder and the hard-on he’d sported most of the night came roaring to life. Oh yeah, tonight must be his night if Na’arah was standing next to his office alone.

He limped closer, the sweet, intoxicating scent of her perfume beckoning as easily as her sultry pose.

She probably had no idea of the alluring picture she presented. Eyes closed, full lips parted as if waiting for a lover’s kiss and one shapely leg bent so her heel rested on the wall behind her. That position also allowed the skirt of her dress to rise a little higher on her thighs. Tonight was definitely his night.

He stopped in front of her and still she hadn’t moved. This close, and the heat of her body wrapped around his.

Resisting the urge to mold his body into the temptation of her soft front he leaned closer, resting a hand near her head and dragging her scent deep into his lungs.

“Not liking the party?” he murmured.

She snapped open her eyes, a small gasp accompanied the quick rise and fall of her lovely breasts. Her tongue darted out to lick her lips and he stifled a groan. What he wouldn’t give to feel her mouth on his, or anywhere else on his body, for that matter.

“Not particularly, but they’re not my friends,” she answered. She straightened, her breasts brushing his chest, but he didn’t move.

She merely arched a brow and he smiled. So she didn’t seem to mind that he was invading her space. How far could he test her limits?

“So why are you the designated driver?” He leaned closer... His thighs brushed hers and sent a jolt of longing through his system.

“My sister.” Na’arah lifted an arm and rested her hand on his chest. “I owed her a favor.”

He savored the warmth of her palm. He could imagine the way her hands would feel sliding over his skin, trailing down his stomach and closing around his erection. “I’m glad you did.” He swept a lock of her hair from her shoulder, pleased at the silkiness of the strands.

Desire flared in her irises. Maybe she wasn’t as unaffected as he thought.

“So what would your girlfriend say if she saw us right now?

“Nothing. I don’t have one.”

Her shoulders sagged.

So she’d been worried about his relationship status. Interesting. “Should I be worried about some pesky boyfriend?”

She shook her head and looked away.

He tucked a curl behind her ear, before trailing a finger along her jaw until it rested beneath her chin. Slowly, he tilted her head until she once more met his gaze.

“You still have the most amazing eyes. I always remembered that about you.”

“I can’t believe you noticed my eyes.”

“That’s not the only thing I noticed.” He shifted until his knee slid between her thighs. He longed to explore her heat.  Closer still and he had her effectively trapped between his body and the wall.

Not a bad place to be at the moment, but he could think of one better.

“And you forgot my name.”

Chagrin coursed through him.

“Why did you stop coming?” A hint of hurt clung to her voice. “Did I do something you didn’t like?

Damn, she didn’t waste words and strangely, he found her candor arousing. He could do no else than be truthful. “Because I’m attracted to you.”

Her gaze flew to his then dropped away. A smirk twitched the corners of his mouth. He’d surprised her with his admission.

“Nothing to say?”

“Prove it.”

Gluttony: It all begins with Gluttony. (Sin-Eaters Book 2) by Lynn Chantale

His eyes were really mean. #MFRWhooks

An ancient sect of gods, known as Sin-Eaters, have one last chance to save humanity from an Emperor God bent on world domination. And it all begins with Gluttony.

Tialoc had one mission, find gluttony and return it to the tlazolli or sin box. He doesn’t expect to find the sin wrapped in a sexy chocolate-skinned woman or that she is his mate.

CJ accepts a trip to paradise to meet Tialoc. When an accident sidelines her before their first date, she’s hesitant to go at all. What she isn’t prepared for is the passion or love they share.

When their lovemaking has unexpected consequences, time is of the essence. Tialoc must convince CJ to embrace her destiny or lose him forever.

The door opened with a whisper. CJ formed a greeting, but no sound emerged from her throat. She sucked in a breath as a tall, broad-shouldered man seemed to take up the entire doorway entered.

This couldn’t be the same man from the dating service. When he sent her his picture via text, she could’ve sworn it had been digitally altered. Now, staring at the strong square jaw, full lips and piercing dark eyes, the photo had not done him justice. His ebony hair was on the long side and framed his face like a fallen angel or lost god. CJ had the overwhelming desire to run her fingers through his wavy locks.

He strolled forward calling attention to the fluid way he moved. The man was built. His short-sleeve white polo showed off his bronzed skin. He lifted a hand drawing her gaze to the ink wrapped around one bicep. She couldn’t quite make out the design, but she’d love an opportunity to find out.

“CJ. You should have called as soon as you arrived.”

She snapped her mouth closed. His voice was as sinful as his body, low, smooth and decadent. And his accent. She heaved a sigh, then realized where she was. With a gasp, she ran her fingers through her hair. The sweet little twisted updo she’d sported earlier was loose and lopsided. This was not how she wanted to meet Tialoc for the first time.

“I brought flowers.” He placed a bouquet of orchids and lilies in her lap. Their fingers touched and a jolt of awareness raced up her arm.

She met his gaze. Desire simmered in his obsidian depths. For a moment she had the sensation of falling as she stared into his eyes. Warmth and security wrapped around her as easily as a hug. She longed to stay there. Such emotion and passion, it embraced and enfolded. Anything seemed possible...

“You didn’t tell me he was so yummy.” Tessie breezed in a man in a suit close on her heels. She dropped the balloons clutched in her fist. “I tell you if I didn’t have Avery...”

CJ tore her attention from Tialoc to her best friend. “Yeah. Is there anyone you didn’t call?”

Tessie plopped on the window seat. “Your parents. I didn’t want to worry them.”

Worry them indeed. Her parents would’ve been on the first flight out and would’ve pestered her every step of the way. Suddenly having Tessie and her fiancé hovering didn’t seem like a bad idea, but there was another person in the equation.

Her gaze wandered to the hunk seated next to the bed. His long jean-clad legs were stretched in front of him and crossed at the ankles. The man was such perfection she yearned to see him naked, to trace the definition of each muscle with her fingertips and then her lips.

CJ gripped the sheet in her fists and heat flooded her cheeks, desire ignited in her veins. Shocked at her reaction she gulped a deep breath.

“So when are they going to release you?” This was from Avery.

CJ returned her attention to the couple seated on her right. “I’m uh not sure. A doctor came in to see me, but I’m not sure he was really here.”

Avery patted her hand. A rumble of thunder filtered through the air. All looked toward the window.

“And the weatherman said no rain,” Tessie quipped.

“What did the doctor look like, maybe we passed him in the hall,” Avery suggested.

CJ shrugged. What could it hurt? “Average height, dark hair, mean eyes.” She shuddered as she recalled the coldness she’d seen. “His eyes were really mean.”

“I intend to give her all the honor due her,” Huemac vowed. #MFRWhooks

Huemac, a half-breed, covets ultimate power, but he needs two things—access to the royal family and an ancient artifact. He attains the former by seducing the Emperor’s sister, and then steals the latter.

Moctezuma, the newly crowned Emperor, comes from a long line of powerful gods known as Sin-Eaters. He desires peace among his people, but an ancient prophecy warns of war.

Huemac discovers the incantation to activate the fabled Athame of Souls, a mythical weapon capable of entrapping souls. His quest to rule is within his grasp. Only one thing stands in his way—Moctezuma.

Moctezuma blocked the gesture with a flat palm on Huemac’s chest and a slight frown. “You are rather exuberant in your greeting.” Though the admonition was terse, a gleam of amusement tinted his eyes. “You must have seen your lady love.”

Huemac forced a blush, then was surprised at how easily the heat rose in his cheeks. He inclined his head. Did he really need Moctezuma’s approval? “Yes.”

Moctezuma laughed. “Old friend, you do not have to pretend with me. I have seen the way my sister looks at you. She pretends indifference when you are near, but she cannot hide her glow of love.” He turned sober. “Have a care with her heart. If your intentions are not honorable, I shall be forced to sacrifice you in the pits.”

A long silence hung between the two. Huemac was first to look away. He swallowed the angry retort that burned like acid in his throat. How dare this half-breed threaten him with a death befitting mortals. The pits were for the entertainment of the gods, suitable for those who had fallen out of favor or displeased them, and yes, even used for lesser gods, but not one such as himself. Huemac was a god to be feared, a captain in the Emperor’s army only outranked by Tialoc and his second-in-command, Xochiti.

“I intend to give her all the honor due her,” Huemac vowed. And then to keep her on as a slave. After all, she did satisfy his needs. “She has persuaded me to wait until after your celebration to announce our relationship.”

Moctezuma winced. “Yes. All this fanfare and nonsense to be named successor as leader of our people. It is so unnecessary. I have tried to speak reason to my parents, but my pleas have fallen on deaf ears.”

The other male did not want the throne? That was surprising news. “Surely, you jest,”

“No. My brother would be better suited for the task, but my father insists that as first son, it is my birthright, regardless of blood.”

Huemac was one of a select group of people who knew of Moctezuma’s lineage. He was not a full-blooded god. He was a demi, the product of a god and a human woman. Even more important, Moctezuma was the descendant of a long line of Sin-Eaters. They were an ancient sect of gods charged with removing the sin from mortals and gods alike to aid their passage into an afterlife of paradise. And even fewer people knew Huemac had aided in Moctezuma’s rescue from some overzealous villagers intent on stoning the emperor-to-be to death.

Once he realized exactly who and what Moctezuma was, Huemac was determined to ingratiate himself into the royal family at any cost. He already led a privileged life, attending the finest schools, enjoying a portion of wealth and prosperity. Only one thing eluded him.

Pure power.
